Industrialists, Traders Meet Industries Minister

A delegation of industrialists, traders and business organizations met Provincial Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal here at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :A delegation of industrialists, traders and business organizations met Provincial Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal here at Civil Secretariat on Tuesday.

During the meeting, various solutions to industry's problems and proposals regarding promotion of SME sector and training programs were discussed.

Provincial minister said that small industries played an important role for development of any country. Punjab government was taking solid steps for promotion of SME sector, he said and added that soft loan programme for unemployed youth would be helpful in empowering them. He said TEVTA (Technical education and Vocational Training Authority) would be made proactive and its training programmes and curriculum would be made in accordance with market needs.

Mian Aslam Iqbal assured that government would resolve the industry's problems in consultation with all stakeholders to enhance its productivity and exports. The proposals by the industrialists would duly be considered, he assured.

He mentioned that alleviation of poverty and unemployment has much importance in 100-days Plan of the government and SME sector would be promoted with the consultations of all the stakeholders.
