SEOUL, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Nov, 2018 ) :South Korea's largest computing game expo wrapped up Sunday after attracting its largest-ever number of visitors to see a wide range of new computer and mobile games and virtual reality technology, its organizers said.

About 235,000 people had visited the four-day G-Star Global Game Exhibition in the southeastern port city of Busan as of 5:00 p.m. Sunday, according to the Korea Association of Game Industry.

The show brought together 689 game developers and distributors from 36 countries. They included South Korean game makers Nexon Korea Corp. and Netmarble Inc. and US video game developer Epic Games and streaming platform Twitch.

The expo also drew a number of cloud computing providers and blockchain companies.

Nexon showcased 14 new games - 11 mobile games and three computer games, including the mobile version of its first mega-hit computer game, "Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds" -- during the expo.

Some 22,000 people visited Nexon's booths on the first day alone, which is up 43 percent from last year, the organizers said.

Netmarble unveiled four new mobile games, and another major game developer, Bluehole, rolled out a joint game brand, Krafton, along with some new titles that are currently under development.

For this year's expo, Epic Games became the main sponsor of the show - the first foreign company to do so. It said the sponsorship is the company's first step to attracting more South Korean gamers.
