Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 10 Aug 2018

Four ships, Tempanos, African Buzzard, Argent Hibiscus and Al-Soor-II carrying Containers, 55,000 tonnes Coal, 31,845 tonnes Chemicals and 54,972 tonnes Diesel oil took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Aug, 2018 ) :Four ships, Tempanos, African Buzzard, Argent Hibiscus and Al-Soor-II carrying Containers, 55,000 tonnes Coal, 31,845 tonnes Chemicals and 54,972 tonnes Diesel oil took berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Port Qasim Electric Power Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile another containers ship CMA CGM New Jersey also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim on Friday morning.

A total of seven ships Tempanos, African Buzzard, BTG Fuji, New Confidence, Argent Hibiscus, Concerto and Al-Soor-II are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya been, Steel coil, Chemicals, Palm oiland Diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume 112,129 tonnes, comprising 89,025 tonnes import cargo and 23,104 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,455 Containers (TEUs), (1,239 TEUs Imports and 1,216 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

M.V New Confidence sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while three more ships Tempanos, BTG Fuji and Argent Hibiscus are expected to sail on same day in the afternoon.

Four ships, CMACGM New Jersey, Hansa America, RB Leah and Attiki-SB carrying Containers, Soya Bean and Coal are expected to take berths at QICT, FAP and PQETP respectively on Friday.

while two more Container ships Virgo and Maersk Jalan are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday.
