Annual Deans, Directors Conference To Kick Off From Feb 5

The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) is organizing an annual two-day 5th Deans and Directors Conference 'Creating Impact with CPEC' from February 5 to 6 at Karachi

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Jan, 2018 ) :The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) is organizing an annual two-day 5th Deans and Directors Conference 'Creating Impact with CPEC' from February 5 to 6 at Karachi.

The NBEAC was established by the Higher Education Commission in 2007 to assure quality in business education degree programmes, a news release Saturday said. The conference, which will bring together over 100 deans and directors of leading business schools, aims to evaluate how business education in Pakistan is preparing graduates to contribute to the local and global economic activities.

The another aim is to identify unique themes and specializations for business education in Pakistan, keeping local needs and global trends in perspective. The participants will also discuss the balance between indigenous and international curriculum content for effective business education in the country.

Providing an opportunity for sharing of experiences, the conference is expected to identify ways in which accreditation can be used as a framework for addressing the challenges associated with convergence and divergence.

International speakers include Dr Christophe Terrasse, Director Projects, European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), Prof Dr Lai Desheng, Dean of Business School, Beijing Normal University, Prof Frank Y-H Ying, Dean, Department of Business Administration, National Taiwan Normal University, Prof Guo Xuetang, Associate Dean, Law School, Prof Zhiwen Yin, Associate Dean, school of Management, Fudan University, Stephen Sacca, Chief Executive Officer, Leadership Development and Strategic Programme Management of Stephen's Professional and Dr Mary Sully de Luque, Director Academic, Thunderbird School of Arizona State University.
