PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jan, 2019 ) :Adviser to Chief Minister (CM) of Education Ziaullah Bangash Thursday said Elementary and Secondary Education department has launched hotline for citizen to register their complaints related to the department.

He said that concerned officials have been directed to ensure citizens are properly facilitated fair and transparent resolution of their problems. The people can launch their complaints on hotline number 0800-33857.

He said the education department was pursuing comprehensive reforms to uplift education standard in the province, adding that shortage of teachers in the province is being overcome by recruiting more teachers especially in the merged districts.

KP elementary and secondary education department has initiated process of appointment of teachers on vacant posts in tribal districts and shortage of teachers in schools would be overcome soon.

He said 2500 and more teachers to be recruited in tribal district next year.

All necessary measures are being taken by the government to bring tribal districts at par with developed areas of the country.

He said some advertisements to fill vacation posts had already been given and soon the remaining vacation posts would be advertised.

The KP Adviser said schools teachers in the province were being equipped with the latest technology, "this is digital era and we are equipping teachers in schools with modern and latest technology for grooming their skills." He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to recruit teachers, doctors and other required staff in newly merged tribal districts of KP on priority basis for better service delivery and to provide jobs to people of merged districts.

He said that solarization of schools, electronic boards, tablets were being provided to schools to enhance their capacity, while independent monitoring units have been extended to merged districts to improve education standard there.
