Rs 1 Bln For Punjab Education Endowment Fund Allocated

The Punjab government has set aside Rs 1 billion for Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) in the higher education for the fiscal year 2018-19.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :The Punjab government has set aside Rs 1 billion for Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) in the higher education for the fiscal year 2018-19.

According to the budget 2018-19 document here on Tuesday, the government has allocated 37.15 billion rupees for the higher education with five billion rupees development fund in the province.

Under the corrective budget, the government would operationalize Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and IT, Rahim Yar Khan and establish Home Economics College, Bahawalpur.

The funds have also been allocated for the construction of building of women university, Sialkot and Engineering University, Sargodha besides provision of missing facilities in various colleges of South Punjab.

The government would also establish model colleges BS (4 years programme) during the fiscal year 2018-19.

The government has also set aside Rs 332.5 billion for school education in Punjab.
