Four Ambulances Provided To Basic Health Units In Faisalabad

Under the arrangements of Integrated Maternal Child Health Programme (IRMNCH), four ambulances have been provided to basic health units (BHUs) of rural areas.
FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2018 ) :Under the arrangements of Integrated Maternal Child Health Programme (IRMNCH), four ambulances have been provided to basic health units (BHUs) of rural areas.
These ambulances were handed over to the staff by Deputy Commissioner Salman Gahni and MNA Begum Khalida Mansoor here on Saturday. CEO District Health Authority Dr Zafar Abbas, DHO Dr M Asif Shahzad, Dr Bilal Ahmad, Dr Saqib Munir, Dr Waseem and other doctors were also present.
Expressing his views, the DC said that 52 BHUs in the district were working 24 hours during the week for providing prompt medical facilities to pregnant women of the rural areas.
He said that 16 ambulance vehicles had already been provided to the BHUs and pregnant women could avail a free ambulance service by calling toll free No 1034.
MNA Begum Khalida Mansoor said that ambulance service for pregnant women in remote areas was a revolutionary step of the government. She said the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif had focused on the health sector and the best treatment facilities were being provided to people.
