Health Dept Lodges FIR Against Polio Vaccination Refusal Case

The health department, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Muddasir Riaz Malik, got a case registered against a man over refusal of anti polio vaccination to his daughter.
According to FIR no 275/18 , Mahmood of Gulnaz Colony Grass Mandi refused to get his daughter Afia vaccinated against polio, when a team led by Dr Ayaz Ghauri reached his home in Jaleelabad Police limits.
He rebuked the team and turned their request of vaccination during recently concluded National Immunization Day (NID) campaign.
The police registered the case under sections 353 and 186 which includes interference in state matters.
Meanwhile, the DC has constituted a task force to deal with refusal cases.
