Healthcare Facilities At Malakand Satisfactory: DHO

District Health Officer (DHO), Malakand, Wakeel Muhammad has said that one Tehsil Head Quarters Hospital and four Category D Hospitals were providing healthcare facilities to the people in district Malakand and for this purpose Rs 7.86 million have been allocated during the current financial year 2017-18
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2017 ) :District Health Officer (DHO), Malakand, Wakeel Muhammad has said that one Tehsil Head Quarters Hospital and four Category D Hospitals were providing healthcare facilities to the people in district Malakand and for this purpose Rs 7.86 million have been allocated during the current financial year 2017-18.
Talking to media persons, he said healthcare facilities at Malakand were satisfactory as besides 5 rural health centers, 20 basic health centers and 9 dispensaries were functioning in the district wherein a total of Rs 11.012 million have been set-aside for providing free medicines to the patients in current year.
He further added that Rs 0.
40 million have been allocated for free distribution of medicine to Tehsil Hospital Dargai and a total of Rs 3.860 million have been earmarked for category D hospitals of Thana, Totakan, Agra and Malakand Khas.
OPD, Indoor, Emergency, X-ray, ECG and Ultrasound facilities were being provided to the people in these hospitals, he said adding that Orthopedic, Children and medical specialists were available at these facilities.
The posts of Surgical, Giyani, ENT, Eye, Radiologist, Pathologist and Pharmacist were vacant for which requisition has been made and it is hoped that these specialist would soon be recruited and posted for facilitation for the general public, he said.
