Polio Campaign For Upper Kohistan Kicks Off

Deputy Commissioner Upper Kohistan Friday inaugurated three-day polio vaccination campaign with an aim to eradicate crippling disease from the society
Talking to media men after inaugurating, Deputy Commissioner Upper Kohistan Hamidur Rehman urged people to inform district administration about places that needs special attention of polio teams ensuring immunization of each and every child against the disease.
He said that three-day polio campaign would schedule to be started from April 21 to 23.
He also urged parents to play their role and help polio teams in achieving target of the vaccination campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, District Polio Coordinator Dr. Pir Zada said that polio drop would not only protect children from polio disease but also save them from Tuberculosis, meningitis, pneumonia, measles, diphtheria and tetanus.
He informed that timely immunization could save the child from nine dangerous disease. He said that entire Kohistan district would be immunized during anti-polio vaccine starting from April 21-23.
