Polio Drive Kicked Off In Larkana

A four-day anti-Polio campaign has been started on Monday across the Larkana division
The anti-polio drive has been started in all the districts of Larkana including Larkana, Kamber-Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kandhkot-Kashmore. The campaign, aims eradication of the disease and to make Pakistan a polio free country, will continue till January 24.
The polio teams are visiting door-to-door, remote and far-flung areas to administer Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) to the target of 1178380 children up to age of five years.
The District Health department has deputed more than 3150 teams to visit houses for polio vaccination of infants.
The teams are tasked to visit schools, bus stands and railway stations besides door-to-door to give anti-polio drops to the children.
The people are advised that they should come forward and co-operate with mobile teams of health department during the anti-polio campaign.
