Punjab Govt Determined To End Measles, Polio From The Province

Provincial Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik said the Punjab government was determined to eliminate measles and polio from the province. He said the government was taking practical measures to extend basic health facilities to masses in an easy way.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik said the Punjab government was determined to eliminate measles and polio from the province. He said the government was taking practical measures to extend basic health facilities to masses in an easy way.
The minister expressed these views after opening the anti-measles campaign here on Monday.
He said, "Children are the future of the country and the government will do everything possible to make our future safe." Dr Malik informed the Health department had launched the anti-measles drive to sensitize masses about it.
Earlier, briefing about the campaign, Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik said that the teams would vaccinate kids from six months to seven years old during it. He informed that exactly 78800 kids would be vaccinated, adding that 630 teams had been constituted for this purpose.
