Azad Jammu & Kashmir Development Working Party (AKDWP ) meets to review 19 mega development projects

Azad Jammu & Kashmir Development Working Party (AKDWP ) reviewed Rs. 2.870 billion worth 19 mega development projects to be launched during ongoing fiscal year 2017-18.

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Mar, 2018 ) , March 7 (APP)::Azad Jammu & Kashmir Development Working Party (AKDWP ) reviewed Rs. 2.870 billion worth 19 mega development projects to be launched during ongoing fiscal year 2017-18.

The Additional Chief Secretary (Dev.) chaired the 9th meeting of the current of the approving forum of AJKDWP. The venerable representatives of the Federal Government, Finance Department along with the concerned Secretaries of the line departments and officers of P&DD participated in the meeting.

The development schemes discussed by the august forum were appertaining to Health Forestry / Watershed, Home Department, Local Government & Rural Development, Transport, Higher education (Universities), Physical Planning & Housing, Development Authorities, Agriculture, Foreign Aided Projects, Communication & Works and Environment sectors.

The projects discussed by the forum included the Establishment of Tehsil Head Quarter (THQ) Hospital Mong District Sudhnuti, Construction of Boundary Wall and Internal Development of Kashmir Forest school Complex Tandali in District Muzaffarabad, Establishment of Special Protection Unit (SPU), Provision of Solar Energy Street Lights in District Headquarters, Computerization of Record of AJ&K's Transport Department, Acquisition of Land for Approach Road University of Kotli, Extension of Chief Secretary Office Building,Water Supply Scheme, Thorar in District Poonch, Construction of Office Accommodation at DHQ Kahutta and Jehlum Valley, Reconditioning/Improvement of Link Roads in City Area of Muzaffarabad, On-Farm Soil Conservation for Productivity Enhancement through Mechanized Farming, Extension of Existing Flood Protection Structures at Brarkot District Muzaffarabad, Protection of Precious Agriculture Land of Pindi Jhunja, Thathi, Bela Muhammad Nagar and Sokason Areas through Construction of Flood Protection Infrastructure District Bhimber, Restoration of Flood Protection Structures of along Basan Nullah at Basan Sharif in District Havali & Nullah Mahl at Bani Pasari District Bagh under DCRIP, Construction, Improvement, Metalling & Blacktopping of University to Chotagala Road District Poonch, Up-gradation of Tarar Kheil Balouch Road District Sudhnuti, Construction of EPA Zonal office Building Mirpur and Strengthening of Environmental Governance & Monitoring Support in AJ&K.
