ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Aug, 2018 ) :Several organisations in Jammu have warned the Indian government against the proposed removal of Article 35-A in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, addressing a joint press conference in Jammu under the banner of "Forum for Peace and Territorial Integrity of Jammu and Kashmir", the leaders of various organizations, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Mir Shahid Saleem (JKPM), I D Khajuria, Jameel Kazmi and Narender Khajuria, said that after failing miserably in Kashmir by applying the worst kind of military might, India was hatching conspiracies of launching a judicial onslaught on the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir.
They said by threatening to abrogate Article 35-A and Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, New Delhi wants to change the disputed character of Kashmir and change the demography of the territory.
They said that the people of Kashmir were united to oppose the Indian conspiracies, tooth and nail.
The leaders said India is playing with fire and any such move will have very disastrous consequences. They urged the Indian leadership to address the political dispute of Kashmir according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people instead of raking one controversy after another.
They also called upon India to respond positively to the dialogue offer made by the newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan and create conducive atmosphere for the peaceful and durable resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute.
