Accused counsel for removing ATC clauses from FIR in Barrister Fahad Malik murder case

An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad Thursday adjourned the hearing of a case pertaining to murder of Barrister Fahad Malik on the prosecution's request

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2019 ) :An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad Thursday adjourned the hearing of a case pertaining to murder of Barrister Fahad Malik on the prosecution's request.

Acting judge of ATC-I Islamabad Kausar Abbas Zaidi resumed the hearing whereas the Advocate Arshad Tabrez, counsel for the accused Raja Arshad argued the plea of removal of the ATC clauses from first information (FIR) report as he said 7 ATA was wrongfully and illegally added.

The defense counsel also argued the post arrest bail application seeking till the conclusion of the case.

The prosecution sought adjournment pleading senior counsel was not present in the court due to engagements in Lahore High Court.

At this, the court adjourned the hearing till Monday.

This case proceedings are in final stages as the evidences has already been concluded and decision of the case is in pending due to final statement of the accused about the allegations leveled against them.

During the previous hearing, the court had directed to record the statements of all accused under section 342 of Cr PC on the day which was not recorded due to transfer of the ATC judge.

All the three accused - Nauman Khokhar, Raja Arshad and Hashim - were present in the court.

The court was adjourned till April 22, as well as post arrest bail application of the accused Raja Arshad Mehmood was also adjourned till date.
