Agreement Signs For Safe Drinking Water Provision In Bin Qasim Town

Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited Wednesday signed an agreement with the Water Foundation to provide safe drinking water to more than 6,000 households Gaghar Phattak in Bin Qasim Town.
As per arrangement five water purification/filtration plants, funded by Engro will be established and operated by the Water Foundation in the area.
An agreement in this regard was inked by Imran Anwer, CEO & President, Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited and Iqbal Adamjee, Chairman, Water Foundation here Wednesday.
"Objective is to help the residents avoid several water borne diseases through efficient and regular water supply," said Imran Anwer, CEO of Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited.
He mentioned that the company is also setting up two new schools in collaboration with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) and a Primary healthcare unit with Sina Health, education & Welfare Trust at different villages around Gaghar Phattak.
Rao Mubeen Ahmed, Head of Public Affairs & CSR of the company said relevant preventive measure would improve the health conditions of residents of the communities in Gaghar Phattak, Bin Qasim Town.
Education, Health and Safe Drinking water were said to be the basic needs of these communities and that the company was committed to perform its part towards its CSR initiatives.
Iqbal Adamjee, Chairman also spoke on the occasion assuring that the Foundation will ensure safe drinking water for the community residents in a professional manner.
