CPWB Recover Two Minors

FAISALABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Faisalabad recovered two minor children engaged in child labour in the area of D-Type Colony police station. Child Protection Officer,Ali Abid Naqvi said here on Tuesday that CPWB received a call at its emergency number 1121 that two men Abdul Ghaffar son of Maqbool and Bashir son of one Barkat had confined some minor children in their private quarter in mohallah Rasoolpura Sammundri road for getting labor from them. On this information, CPWB team with the help of D-Type Colony police conducted a surprise raid at private quarter of accused Abdul Ghaffar and Bashir and recovered two children--including 14-year-old Usman son of Nazeer and 10-year-old Suleman son of Nazeer.

The recovered children said they were forced to beg and work for the accused, Naqvi added. The raiding team arrested Abdul Ghaffar and Bashir from the spot and sent them to lock-up after registration of case.

Further investigation against them was in progress,he added.
