Delegation Of Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School Of Law Calls On CJ

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2018 ) :A 26 member delegation of Law students of Shaikh Ahmad Hassan school of Law, LUMS University, Lahore headed by Prof. Dr. Martin Wilhelm Lau, Dean & Professor of Law called on the Chief Justice.

The delegation met Justice Mian Saqib Nisar as a part of their study tour at Supreme Court building Islamabad on Friday. Chief Justice welcomed the students and gave them an overview of the Constitution of 1973 of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, said a press release.

He briefed them about the constitutional mandate of judiciary as one of the pillars of the State and fundamental rights enunciated in the Constitution.

He laid emphasis on Rule of Law and its importance in economic development of countries.

Justice Nisar, underlined the need of education and its significance in society. He emphasized upon the students to show integrity and honesty on every walk of life to lead a prosperous and peaceful life.

Later, he answered the questions of the participants in an interactive session and shared his experiences. Prof. Dr. Martin Wilhelm Lau, thanked the Chief Justice of Pakistan on his own behalf and on behalf of the participants for sparing time for them and sharing legal experiences and knowledge.
