Dist Govt Announces Jashne-e-Azadi Celebrations Schedule

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th August, 2016) : The district government has finalsed various event to celebrate Jashne-e-Azadi. This was said by DCO Nadir Chatha while chairing a meeting to review events of the independence day here on Saturday.

He said the district government would celebrate a seven-day Jashne-e-Azadi programme titled "I am Pakistan" in connection with the independence day. Rallies, speech competitions, poetic sitting, dress shows and other events would be held. He said the main ceremony would be held at the Fort Qasim Bagh, adding that national songs competitions would also be held at Shah Shams Park daily while painting competitions would be held on Aug 8 besides speech competitions to be held at schools and colleges on Aug 10.

The DCO said 20 float-vehicles had been decorated to aware people about the Pakistan Movement and these vehicles would move on various roads of the city. He said lighting and laser show would also be held at Qasim Bagh Fort at night on Aug 14.
