Minister Reviews Muharram Security Arrangements In Hafizabad

Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Muhammad Ajmal Cheema said on Wednesday the provincial government was fully alive to maintain law and order situation during Ashura-i-Muharram.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Muhammad Ajmal Cheema said on Wednesday the provincial government was fully alive to maintain law and order situation during Ashura-i-Muharram.
He said this while reviewing the security arrangements made by the district administration to maintain interfaith harmony in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Adnan Arshad Aulakh, DPO Saifullah Khan and members of District Peace Committee told the minister that by the grace of Almighty Allah, there was exemplary interfaith harmony and peaceful atmosphere in the district.
Later, the minister chaired a meeting which was attended among others by MPAs Mamoon Jaffar Tarar and Ahsan Jhangir Bhatti and members of Peace Committee where the DC briefed him about the security measures taken by the administration for Ashura-i-Muharram.
He said 160 CCTV cameras had been installed and control room were setup in the DC Office and Jinnah Hall from where strict monitoring would be ensured.
Moreover, 1300 policemen along with Pakistan Army would provide security cover to mourners.
The minister along with MPAs, DC, DPO and Army Officers visited Markazi Imam Bargah and others Imam Bargahs and inspected different routes of processions. The minister expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements by the district administration.
