ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Augst,2016) : Hurriyet leaders,in Indian held Kashmir, have strongly rejected the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's assertions on Balochistan and Azad Kashmir. The Chief Organizer of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Altaf Shah, in an interview in Srinagar said that instead of commenting on internal issues of Pakistan, Narendra Modi should introspect and stop human rights violations in the valley, reported Kashmir Media Service. "Modi has made a futile attempt to dilute Kashmir issue by commenting on Balochistan.
We challenge him to hold referendum in Jammu and Kashmir and see for himself what do Kashmiris want. Since 1947, India has made many attempts to suppress aspirations of Kashmiris. Despite being a signatory to UN resolutions on Kashmir, India is denying Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination.
For the past over 38 days, India has been using brute force to quell peaceful protests on streets of Kashmir." Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Vice Chairman, Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, in a statement said, "Modi has realized that New Delhi's all oppressive measures in Kashmir have failed to keep the people of Kashmir from pursuing their freedom struggle which is purely indigenous.
Now he is raising frivolous issues that have no takers anywhere in the world." The Hurriyet leaders said that by issuing such statements, Modi was vainly trying to put a cover on the prevailing crisis in the occupied territory arising from oppressive policies of New Delhi to muzzle the Kashmiris' voice for freedom.
