Multan Region Wins Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Grade-II

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th May, 2018 ) ::Multan Region team won Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Grade-II by defeating Karachi Region Blues team by 10 wickets and qualified for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Grade-I session 2018-19.
According to details, the four days final match played at Multan cricket Stadium. On the third day, Karachi started its second innings of final match from 81 runs for loss of four wickets. The team could score just 154 all out in 55.2 overs in the second innings.
Saif Ullah Bangash was top scorer with 32 runs, while Fahadis Bukhari added that 26 runs to the total. Amir Yamin from Multan Region took five wickets, while Zulfiqar Babar took four wickets. Multan Region achieved the target of just two runs on the first ball of the innings.
Multan region had a lead of 152 runs in the first innings of the match. Later, prize distribution ceremony was held in which Rs500,000 cash prize was awarded to winning team while Rs250,000 to the runner-up team.
Abdul Rehman Muzammil from Multan Region was declared as the Man of the Match, Saad Khan from Hyderabad region was declared the best batsman for scoring 450 runs, Zulfiqar Babar from Multan region stood the best bowler by taking 31 wickets while the best all-rounder was Kamran Ghulam from Abbottabad region, who made 337 runs besides taking 22 wickets and took six catches in the tournament.
The above mentioned players also get Rs50,000 each cash prizes. APP/sak-akt/rsd
