
NA Body Condemns MQM Chief's Remarks

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -30th Augst,2016) : National Standing Committee on Law and Justice Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution condemning the remarks of Mutahida Quami Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain agianst the country. The committee met here under the Chairmanship of Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk which was attended by MNAs Justice (Retd) Iftikhar Ahmed Cheema, Muhammad Moeen Wattoo, Sardar Muhammad Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa, Kiran Haider, Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar, Asiya Naz Tanoli, Shagufta Jumani, Ali Muhammad Khan, Dr.
Arif Alvi, Aisha and Movers of the Bills Sahibzada Tariq Ullah, Sher Akber Khan and Shahida Akhtar Ali. Dr. Arif Alvi moved the resolution against the chief of MQM regarding passing inappropriate remarks against the sovereignty of the country.
The committee recommended that the government should forward a plea to the United Kingdom government against Altaf Hussain. The body considered the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2015 {Amendment of Order XVII rule 1 of 1908} (moved by Sahibzada Tariq Ullah), the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2015 {Substitution of Section 89-A} (moved by Dr.
Arif Alvi), the Code of Civil Procedure (Amendment) Bill, 2015 {Amendment of Section 33} (moved by Sher Akber Khan), the constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015 {Amendment of Article 175 of the constitution} (moved by Shahida Akhtar Ali) and the constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015 {Insertion of new Article-19-B in the constitution } (moved by Munaza Hassan) in detail.
