NEPRA Takes Notice Of Power Wires Incident

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Dec, 2018 ) :National Electricity and Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) Sunday took notice of an incident in which three sisters suffered multiple burn injuries after a high tension electricity wires fell on them in Gulbahar Colony, Gulberg, Lahore on Thursday.
Taking serious notice of the incident, NEPRA directed Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) chief executive officer to visit the site personally and send a detailed report to the authority immediately, a press release issued here said.
Farah (15), Shaghufta (22) and Qamar Bibi (13) were going to a local market when the electricity wires fell on them. Rescue 1122 ambulances rushed them to a local hospital where the condition of Farah was said to be critical as she suffered over 70 per cent burns.
The relatives of the girls and local residents lodged a strong protest against the LESCO authorities and held them responsible for the incident.
