No Child To Be Without Education In New Pakistan: Minister

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Schools Education Murad Raas Thursday said that students were a symbol of bright future and basis for sustained national development.
Providing necessary guidance and training to the students on modern lines would help materialize the dream of a prosperous and developed Pakistan, he added.
He expressed these views while addressing the Spirit of Math Conference 2018 at a local hotel, on Thursday.
Students and educational experts from Canada, USA and Pakistan attended the ceremony.
The minister said the Punjab government was giving special attention to educational research and qualitative approach had been employed so that students could continuously improve their knowledge and remain aware of new educational challenges arising around them.
"This way, Pakistani students would have a global vision and a confident personality to act as youth leaders for national development", he added.
Murad Raas said that education was not limited to studying textbooks only but its real purpose was to broaden the intellectual ken of the students so that they could optimally utilize their energies with confidence.
He said that 21st century carried multiple challenges for the students and added that IT was the key to success in this era of constant challenges. This required that students should be fully empowered to deal with new challenges, he added.
The dream of a new Pakistan could not be materialized without hundred percent education as ignorance was a social menace.
"The Punjab Government has given particular attention to the promotion of education in the new budget because we are fully committed that no child will be left without education in the new Pakistan of Prime Minister Imran Khan." He welcomed the holding of Spirit of Math Conference 2018 in Lahore and hoped that this event would benefit the students in a number of ways.
Talking to the media afterwards, the minister said that school libraries would be totally transformed by the Schools Education department and they would be made user-friendly so that students could take maximum benefit. It would also rekindle the desire of extra knowledge in them, he said.
Former minister Imran Masood, CEO and Co-founder Ms. Kimberley Lagen and international educational experts also addressed the function.
