RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2025) Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General Kinza Murtaza on Thursday reaffirmed that strict legal action was being taken against the accused parties responsible in the University Town Housing Scheme case.
No leniency would be shown to those found in violation of the law, she said in a statement.
Kinza Murtaza said, "We are fully committed to upholding the law and protecting general public interest. All legal channels are being pursued to ensure accountability and justice."
She urged the general public to remain informed through official channels and assured that the RDA would continue to act decisively in all matters concerning public trust and urban development.
According to the RDA spokesperson, the University Town Housing Scheme case was currently under hearing in the high court, and investigations were also ongoing.
The spokesman clarified that no undue favour or concession was being extended to any accused party.
The RDA, he said, had issued a three-month deadline to the scheme’s owners / accused parties to submit transfer and mortgage seeds.
As of now, only one month had passed and under current legal provisions, no arrests could be made until the completion of the stipulated three-month period, he added.
