PFA Imposes Rs 108,000 Fine On Seven Food Points

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams imposed fine of Rs 108,000 on seven food points over poor cleanliness and unhygienic food items, on Tuesday
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2018 ) :Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams imposed fine of Rs 108,000 on seven food points over poor cleanliness and unhygienic food items, on Tuesday.
The teams conducted raids at various locations in Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur and checked cleanliness arrangements and quality of food items.
The teams imposed fine of Rs 108,000 on two food points of Multan, four of DG Khan and one of Bahawalpur for not following the SOPs regarding quality of food and cleanliness.
Food safety teams also wasted 223 kg vegetables and fruits, 123 litre sub-standard drinks and other items during inspection of different Ramadan Bazaars. However, warning notices have also been issued to various other food points.
