
PM Phones Misbah To Greet Over Oval Test Victory

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Monday telephoned Misbah ul Haq, Captain of Pakistan cricket Team and congratulated him over victory of the team in the last Test match at Oval against England.
According to a PM House statement, he termed this historic win as a gift from the Pakistan Cricket Team to the entire nation on 70th Independence Day of the country. He especially lauded the historic and extraordinary performances of Younis Khan and Yasir Shah who scored double century and took six wickets respectively that consolidated Pakistan team's position in the match.
"The entire team deserved immense appreciation for demonstrating excellent team work. Though the team levelled the test series yet the win abundantly added to our Independence Day celebrations," the prime minister added. Misbah ul Haq thanked the prime minister for appreciation and said that winning the Test match on Independence Day was indeed an achievement for the entire team.
"We are overwhelmed by the encouragement from the entire nation and the prime minister which has further strengthened the team's morale and spirit," Misbah ul Haq added.
