PESHAWAR(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -23rd Sep,2016) : People of every walk of life including politicians, academicians, civil society organizations here Friday termed the address of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) of historical and significant importance and inclusive besides boldly highlighted the brutal atrocities of occupied forces in the held Kashmir.

Parliamentary leader of PML-N in Khyber Pakthunkhwa Assembly, Sardar Aurangzaib Nalota said the speech of Prime Minister has reflected the wishes and aspirations of Pakistani nation and people of Kashmir.

"Nawaz Sharif is the first Prime Minister of Pakistan who exposed the Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir before the world in most comprehensive and effective manner," he told APP. He said the human rights violations in held Kashmir had reached alarming heights as over 100 peaceful Kashmirs have been martyred and thousands others injured besides continued use of pellets guns that caused injuries to eyes of hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris recently due to Indian forces' brutalities and oppression.

Nalota said time has come that United Nations and other human rights organizations should take notices of Indian forces' brutalities and human rights violations and put extra pressure on Modi government to immediately stop bloodshed and extra judicial killing in the occupied territory.

"India is actually depressed with the current alarming situation in occupied Kashmir where the freedom movement had intensified after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani," he explained. "The Modi government was trying to hide its atrocities in the occupied valley behind self planned Uri attack but it had completely failed to do so," he remarked.

He said Pakistan was a peace loving country and desired to resolve all issues through dialogue but it was India who was creating violence, cruelties and human rights violations in the region. Nalota said Pakistan was a nuclear power and our government, security forces and nation will give befitting reply to any misadventure by India, adding Pakistan's desire for peace should not be considered its weakness The PMLN leader said solution of Kashmir dispute was must for sustainable and durable peace in the region, saying way to peace in South Asia passes from Kashmir.

Prof Dr Hilali, Chairman, Department of Political Science, University of Peshawar told APP the Prime Minister has raised all important issues including Kashmir in a well balanced and comprehensive manner at UNGA.

He said the Prime Minister had reiterated that Pakistan was a peace loving country which did not want confrontation with any country. Professor Hilali said the demand of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for an independent inquiry into the extra-judicial killings, and a UN fact finding mission to investigate brutalities perpetrated by the Indian occupying forces so that those guilty of these atrocities are punished, was received well in the international circles.

He said time has come that International Community and UN Security Council should implement its resolutions by giving right of self determination to people of Kashmir, saying right of self determination was the most viable solution of this decades old conflict between Islamabad and New Dehli, adding Kashmir was the unfinished agenda of partition that was yet to be addressed.

He said Pakistan and India had fight four wars on Kashmir and further delay in resolution of this core issue can pose serious threat to peace in South Asia as both the countries equipped with nuclear arsenals.

Rushad Khan, MPA said the PM speech was balanced and comprehensive in all respect. He said that PM has highlighted the brutalities of Indian forces in held Kashmir in most effective manners before the world.

He said people of Pakistan had shared all their resources including hospitals and schools even homes with Afghan refugees during last 35 years despite its serious economic, social and security implications on Pakistan.

In-spite of the fact that international community had left Pakistan alone in term of assistance of millions of afghan refuges are concerned, Pakistan has continued extended support to the Afghan refugees by sharing all their resources with them with open hearts and wanted their dignified return to the home country voluntarily.

He said the world have now realized that the best solution of Afghan conflict was dialogue between the Government in Kabul and Afghan Taliban for which Pakistan was advocating since long.
