Rescue 1122 Headquarters Shifted To Emergency Services Academy

LAHORE, Jan 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Jan, 2017 ) : Headquarters of the Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) has been shifted from Shama Chowk, Ferozepur Road, to Emergency Services academy Thokar Niaz Baig, on Thursday.
All offices of the headquarters including office of Director General, Punjab Emergency Service, offices of Deputy Director (HR), P&D, Finance, Community Safety, Social Welfare, Provincial Monitoring Cell, Public Relations and others have been shifted to the Emergency Services Academy.
DG Rescue Punjab Dr. Rizwan Naseer while presiding over a meeting of Rescue Officers, said the headquarters had been shifted in Emergency Services Academy in consultation with the Home Department, Government of the Punjab in order to ensure renovation of the dilapidated building of the headquarters, which had become a potential threat especially in wake of upcoming rainy season.
He, however, said shifting in a training institute will dovetail operation with training, which is the backbone of the Service. On his first day in Emergency Services Academy, while memorizing the past, he said he felt dire need of a modern training institute to produce trained human resource to emergency services in Pakistan.
He said around 17000 rescuers and emergency professionals for Punjab, KPK, Baluchistan, GB, AJK and other areas/organizations had been trained and passed out from this national centre of excellence in short span of less than ten years. APP/dab/zqr/ati � 22:25/23:03/23:03
