
Sindh Govt Sanctions Grant For 10 Pc Increase In Net Pension

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : Sindh Government has sanctioned grant for 10 percent increase in net pension with effect from 1st July, 2016 untill further orders to all civil pensioners of the Sindh Government. All civil pensioners of the Sindh Government, who are 85 years old or more, shall be allowed 25 percent, instead of 10 percent increase in their net pension with effect from July 1, said a statement on Friday. The 10 percent increase in pension as allowed by Finance Department's on July 25, 2013 and 10 percent increase in pension as allowed on July 15 2014 shall be discontinued for those who would retire on or after July, 2016. The 15 percent increase in pension as allowed by Finance Department on July 21, 2010 and 15 percent increase in pension as allowed on July 12, 2011 and 10 percent increase in pension as allowed on September 1, 2015 shall be admissible to new pensioners who would retire on or after July 01, 2016.
The 10 percent increase in pension as mentioned at para-1 above will also be admissible to the future retirees who would retire on or after July, 2016. For the purpose of admissibility of increase in pension sanctioned in an office memorandum the term `Net Pension' means `Pension is being drawn' minus `Medical Allowance.' The increase will also be admissible on family pension granted under the Pension-cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954, Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977, on Pension sanctioned under the Central Civil Services (Extra Ordinary Pension) Rules as well as in the Compassionate Allowance under CSR-353.
