Traffic Police Officials Asked To Be Polite With People: Arif Nawaz Khan

Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Capt (R) Arif Nawaz Khan said on Wednesday that officials of traffic police should adopt courteous and polite behavior towards people during their official duties
He said this while addressing the officers and officials at a passing out parade of first batch of traffic assistant basic recruit course held at police training college Chuhng here.
Earlier, passing out parade commandant police training college Chuhng Mirza Faran Baig while presenting 'Sipaas Nama' said that 580 officials of first basic recruit course of traffic assistants had been trained in accordance with modern standards among which 200 traffic assistants were from Lahore, 175 from Sialkot, 70 from Rawalpindi, 55 from Faisalabad, 55 from Multan and 45 were from Gujranwala.
The IG Punjab said that traffic police was actually the face of Punjab Police because they interact with citizens on roads, so their congenial dealing with citizens was imperative to further improve the image of Punjab Police. He further said that with the increasing population, the traffic police was being equipped with modern training and professional skills to counter traffic issues so that they may perform their duties more efficiently and may rescue precious lives by reducing traffic accidents.
He said that new specialized schools were being established for improving standard of Police training so that efficiency and capabilities of officers and officials may be enhanced with the help of modern policing measures.
The IG Punjab asked officers and officials that elimination of crimes and terrorism was only possible with the cooperation between law enforcement agencies and public, whereas, "We are ensure protection of rights of women and minorities at any cost." He further said that it was satisfactory for him that police training college with its dutiful staff was engaged in providing best training atmosphere for professional and practical training of officials because only with the help of high level training, the force may perform its duties successfully.
On this occasion, the IG Punjab distributed cash prizes and shields to the best performers, whereas, passed out officials proved their professional expertise and abilities in fields of anti-riot, combat trading along with other capabilities as well.
Additional IGs, DIGs and other senior police officers were also present.
