Abhishek Bachchan has revealed that serving food at the wedding was a family ‘tradition’

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17th December, 2018) Several Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were seen serving food to the guests at the very lavish Ambani wedding.

This had stirred a criticism on social media as people wondered why these Bollywood stars had to perform the duties of a waiter at the wedding.

However, Abhishek Bachchan has now revealed that serving food at the wedding was a family ‘tradition’

Abhishek in reply to a tweet that questioned, “Why were Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan serving food in Ambani wedding?” responded that it is a tradition called "sajjan ghot".

In the Sajjan Ghot tradition, the bride’s family feeds the grooms family, Abhishek explained.

In another tweet that said, “What a beautiful tradition”, Abhishek replied, “It is, yes.”

The mystery is finally resolved now as Abhishek shed light on this Indian tradition.
