Says it’s very easy to pick on people. I think we can all do with a little bit of sensitivity.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th September, 2018) The third and last day of Pakistan Fashion Design Council’s (PFDC) L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week (PLBW) was held last night in Nishat Hotel, Emporium Mall in Lahore.
Actress Mahira Khan also made her appearance on the ramp as the brand ambassador of L’Oreal Paris.
Speaking at the PLBW finale, Mahira recalled how her knees were shaking last time she stood there.
“Last year around this time, I stood here and my knees were shaking. Today my hands are shaking. It’s a shaky affair,” she joked.
“I was nervous because it was weird time in my life. I stood here and said you must not allow anyone to define you, if there’s anybody who should, it should be yourself,” she recalled.
“One year on my perspective has changed a little bit,” she continued.
“It’s very easy to pick on people. I think we can all do with a little bit of sensitivity. We live in a world where it’s so important to think before we speak, think before we comment, think before we judge, please let’s be better. Let’s uplift each other. Women uplift women. Men uplift men. Men uplift women, women uplift men,” she concluded.
Designer HSY also praised Mahira for her words as he said, “@mahirahkhan you spoke really well last night about what we all need is more sensitivity towards each other. I completely agree. Hope we all can be more tolerant and kinder to each other. Shine on my beautiful friend ❤️”
