Mardan Shock Manshera In 13th NBP Inter-District Soccer

Came from a goal deficit in the first session Mardan shocked Manshera by 3-1 in the ongoing 13th edition of the Inter-District Football Championship being played here at Tehmas Khan Football Stadium on Tuesday.
District sports Officer Peshawar Jamshed Baloch was the chief guest on this occasion and before the start of the match the players of both Mardan and Manshera were introduced to him.
Organizing Secretary Basit Kamal, Match Commissioner Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah and large number of football enthusiasts witnessed the thrill-packed match.
The match was started on fast tempo and both Mansehra and Mardan raided on each other defence with some fine attacking moves. Mansehra took the lead in the very early stage when right winger Zafar slammed in a beautiful goal on the field attempt.
It was well combined move made Zafar along with mid-field Haroon and center striker Irfan Ullah. They exchanges the ball and by reaching in front of the goal mouth center striker Irfan Ullah gave a free ball to unmarked Zafar who did nothing wrong in dispatching it into the net.
The lead gave extra-boost to Mansehra team who made some good attacking moves to double the lead but they were failed because of the man to man marking by Mardan players.
The mid-fielder of Mardan Javed Khan was the pick of the pack whose flair distribution of ball created a panic like situation in the rank of Mansehra team who despite in a goal-lead failed to click.
It was in the 29th minute when center striker Zubair netted a fine goal through an excellent pass by left winger Waheed in front of the goal-mouth. When both the teams were tied 1-1, they raided on each other defence with some good attacking moves but none of the team could get any score and thus till the end of the first session the teams were locked 1-1.
It was the second session in which Mardan managed their position accordingly and got the position of the ball besides keeping a vigilant eye on the rival strikers. It was in the 57th minute when Waheed slammed in a beautiful goal on the field attempt while mid-fielder Zahoor made it 3-1 by scoring through a foul-kick conversion. Abdur Rehman, Abid and Zeeshan supervised the match while Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah acted as Match Commissioner.
