Director General sports Punjab, Zulfiqar Ahmad Ghumman was the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the event at a simple ceremony. Also present were Secretary, Pakistan Hockey Federation, Shahbaz Ahmad and officials of women wing of PHF .
Lahore Lions proved too good for the Karachi Dolphins and kept them under persistent pressure by displaying a high brand of quality hockey. Lahore led the first half 3-0 with the greater efforts of its forward line.
In the 10th minute, Sehrish Waheed converted a penalty corner as Kalsoom Shahzadi enhanced the lead at 2-0 through a field goal in the 21st minute. Within three minutes, Ishrat Abbas' penalty corner strike made it 3-0.

Lahore made it 4-0 when Ambreen Arshad found the net in the 51st minute .
In the other match, Islamabad and Peshawar displayed defensive hockey with long term ball possession and hitting before a colourful crowd. Islamabad though advanced into the rival striking area on some occasions but poor hitting deprived them from getting into the lead.
