Dead Man Found on Runway at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport - Authorities

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st November, 2018) A body of a man was found Tuesday on the runway at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport after apparently being hit by a plane, the airport authority told Sputnik.

"Today the crew of a passenger plane flying from Moscow to Athens notified us, while preparing to take off at 8:10 p.m.

, about a collision with an unknown object," the airport's press office said.

A group of rescuers, medical workers, and security officers were sent to the scene. They recovered the body of a man and his personal belongings.

The Russian Investigative Committee said it was looking into the incident. It suspects that the 25-year-old man was crashed by a Boeing 737's landing gear.
