Pompeo Discusses Energy, Cyber Security Cooperation With Czech Counterpart - State Dept.

WASHINGTON (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd February, 2019) US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed with visiting Czech Foreign Minister Tomas Petricek possible cooperation in the areas of energy and cyber security, State Department Deputy Spokesperson Robert Palladino said in a press release.
"They [Pompeo and Petricek] reaffirmed the importance and strength of US-Czech bilateral relations and cooperation worldwide, the mutual benefits of the Czech Republic's plans to modernize its military, and the need to view energy security and cyber security as integral parts of national security," Palladino said on Friday.
The two top diplomats, Palladino added, also discussed regional and global security challenges including Russia, Iran, and North Korea.
The US Secretary of State also thanked his counterpart for Czech support in Afghanistan and Iraq, the spokesman said.
