Putin to Hold Meeting With South Korean Prime Minister on Wednesday

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a bilateral meeting with South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Russia's Vladivostok.

At the meeting with Lee, Putin will discuss the situation on the Korean peninsula in the context of future meetings between the heads of two Koreas. Putin and Lee will also touch upon issues related to the implementation of the agreements that were achieved during the state visit of the president of South Korea to Russia.

Also on Wednesday, Putin along with Mongolian leader Khaltmaa Battulga, Lee, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will participate in an EEF plenary session "The Far East: Expanding the Range of Possibilities," and then in a ceremony of awarding the winners of the SCF Far East Tall Ships Regatta 2018.

Later on that day, Putin and Xi will visit Russian Children's Center Okean (Ocean) in Vladivostok.

Putin, Abe and Battulga will also attend the 2nd International Jigoro Kano Junior Judo Tournament among boys and girls under the age of 18.
