MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th October, 2018) The Russian Center for Syrian reconciliation said on Thursday that it had registered a number of ceasefire violations in the Syrian province of Latakia and the city of Aleppo over the past 24 hours.
"Over the past day, terrorists attacked Ikko, Rveysik-Iskander, Jubb-al-Mgara in Latakia province, southwest outskirts (three times) and research centre in Aleppo," the center's bulletin read.
Over the past 24 hours, the center has carried out two humanitarian operations in the settlement of Kawara, located in Hama province, and Tall Alam in Aleppo province.
In total, the residents of the two settlements received 800 food sets, with a tonne of fresh-baked bread having been additionally delivered to Tall Alam.
Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous militant and terrorist groups. Russia, along with Turkey and Iran, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria. Moscow has also been providing humanitarian aid to residents of the crisis-torn country.
