Results of NA-154 Rawalpindi-lll Bye-Election held on 1 January 1970

The Bye-Election was held on 1st January 1970 in National Assembly constituency NA-154 Rawalpindi-lll. Sardar Saleem Haider Khan from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians got 71400 votes and was elected as Member National Assembly (MNA). The first runner up was Waseem Gulzar from Pakistan Muslim League who got 58880 votes. Total 4 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 263849 voters registered in NA-154, out of which 160104 votes were polled out, 156228 votes were valid and 4150 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 60.68 % for NA-154 constituency of National Assembly.
