The Punjab government is providing subsidy to 5.2 million farmers on fertilizers through subsidy vouchers to facilitate them and enhance the agriculture production
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2019 ):The Punjab government is providing subsidy to 5.2 million farmers on fertilizers through subsidy vouchers to facilitate them and enhance the agriculture production.
According to the Punjab Agriculture Department Spokesman, Haroon Ahmed Khan, the subsidy was being given on Diammonium phosphate fertilizer, Nitrophos, Nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium and Sulphate of potash fertilizers.
He said, the subsidy of Rs 200 to 500 per bag on DAP and NP fertilizers would help reduce cost of production of the crops besides increasing per acre yield.
The farmers who use the fertilizers of FFC, Agone Limited, Engro Fertilizers, Pacific Private Limited, Pakarab Fertilizers, Premium Petroleum, Jaffer Engro Services, Jawala International, Reliance, Suncrop Pesticides, Fatima Fertilizers, Nelum Seeds and United Engro Chemical Companies can get the subsidy vouchers.
He said after scratching the voucher, the number should be sent through SMS on 8070 while unregistered farmers should contact agriculture helpline 0800-15000,0800-29000 during 8.00 am to 8.00 pm to get information about the subsidy.
