Action Against Substandard Pesticides, Fertilizers In Vehari

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed officials concerned to arrest shopkeepers involved in over-charging and selling substandard pesticides and fertilizers
He was chairing a meeting attended by Deputy Director Agriculture Ghulam Rasool, Tehsildar Burewala Shoaib Bosan, Assistant Director Livestock Dr Salman Hassan and others.
The DC directed them to collect maximum samples of fertilizers and pesticides and submit these into lab. In case the sample was found substandard, immediately seal the shop.
FIRs should also be registered on sale of substandard fertilizers.
He also instructed them to ensure early brick lining of tributaries so that farmers could avail water supply timely. He urged farmers to take benefit of provision of solar system as government was offering it on subsidize prices.
