British pound reaches five-year record high against Pakistani rupee

British pound was recorded at Rs 183.95

Karachi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29th January, 2019) British pound reaches record high as it was recorded at Rs 183.95 against the Pakistani rupee.

This is the highest that British pound has touched in five years.

Five years ago, the British pound was recorded at Rs 175.30. It was reduced to Rs 157.02in 2015.

In 2016, it was recorded at Rs 153.

83 while in 2017, it further depreciated to Rs 126.18.

The value of British pound increased to Rs 148.51towards the end of 2017.

Following July 25, 2018 elections, the British pound was reduced from Rs 168.68 to Rs 158.42.

In October 2018, it touched Rs 174.86.

However, it has now reached record high in January, 2019 as it was recorded at Rs 183.95.
