China will introduce higher tariffs on September 24 on imports of over 5,200 US goods worth $60 billion in response to new US tariffs, China's Finance Ministry said Tuesday.
BEIJING (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th September, 2018) China will introduce higher tariffs on September 24 on imports of over 5,200 US goods worth $60 billion in response to new US tariffs, China's Finance Ministry said Tuesday.
On Monday, US President Donald Trump said the United States would impose fresh 10-percent tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods that would take effect on September 24. On January 1, the tariffs are expected to rise to 25 percent.
