Global oil demand is likely to grow by 1.29 million barrels daily in 2019, reaching 100 million barres per day for the year, a monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) showed Thursday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th January, 2019) Global oil demand is likely to grow by 1.29 million barrels daily in 2019, reaching 100 million barres per day for the year, a monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) showed Thursday.
"In 2019, world oil demand is forecast to rise by 1.29 mb/d, also in line with last month's projections.
As a result, total world oil demand is projected to reach 100.08 mb/d for the year," the report read.
India is expected to drive the oil demand growth, "followed by China and [Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development] OECD Americas."
Non-OECD countries are generally expected to drive oil demand increase by about 1.04 million barrels per day, while OECD states are expected to grow by 250,000 barrels daily in 2019.
