Minister Chairs Meeting Of Steering Committee On Dubai Expo

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal on Wednesday chaired fourth meeting of the Steering Committee to review the departmental arrangements for the Dubai Expo.

Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal also co-chaired the meeting held here at Civil Secretariat.

The meeting also reviewed the holding of International Business Conference in Dubai, sending an advance team, financial matters related to the Dubai Expo and other issues.

Addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal said that departments should prepare high quality documentaries and other materials to make Dubai Expo 2020 fruitful. The Dubai Expo would highlight Punjab's investment potential globally.

He said that holding of International Business Conference by the provincial government in Dubai in November would bring new investment in Punjab.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar will be the chief guest of the International Business Conference and the Chambers of Commerce & Industry and the business community would be fully represented in the conference.

Mian Aslam Iqbal said that investors would be made aware of the steps taken to expedite the process of industrialization in Punjab through Dubai Expo. He directed that provincial departments participating in Dubai Expo should complete their arrangements soon.

Secretary Industry and Commerce Dr. Wasif Khurshid, Chief Executive Officer Punjab Boardof Investment Dr. Erfa Iqbal and officers of relevant departments attended the meeting.
