Numerous Chinese Companies To Take Part In 60th Damascus International Fair - Ministry

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd August, 2018) A wide range of Chinese companies will take part in the 60th Damascus International Fair in Syria, the Chinese Commerce Ministry told Sputnik on Thursday, adding that the Chinese authorities advocated strengthening of business contacts between the two countries.
"This year a lot of Chinese companies, including automobile and engineering ones, will participate in the 60th Damascus International Fair.
The Chinese party encourages strengthening of contacts between the Chinese and Syrian businesses and is engaged in consultations with Syria in order to get security guarantees," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry also added that the Chinese enterprises were interested in the development of trade and economic cooperation with Syria.
The 60th Damascus International Fair will be held in the Syrian capital on September 6-15. Representatives of nearly 50 countries are expected to take part in the event.
