OPEC Expects Global Economic Growth Forecast To Remain 3.7% In 2018, 3.5% In 2019 - Report

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) expects the global economic growth forecast to remain at 3.7 percent in 2018 and 3.5 percent in 2019, with Japan's GDP growth slightly revised down, a monthly report of the OPEC showed Thursday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th January, 2019) The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) expects the global economic growth forecast to remain at 3.7 percent in 2018 and 3.5 percent in 2019, with Japan's GDP growth slightly revised down, a monthly report of the OPEC showed Thursday.
"The global economic growth forecast remains unchanged at 3.7% for 2018 and 3.5% for 2019. In the OECD, US growth is unchanged at 2.9% for 2018 and 2.6% for 2019. Euro-zone growth remains at 1.9% for 2018 and 1.
7% for 2019," the report read.
Japan's economic growth forecast was adjusted down to 0.8 percent in 2018 and 1 percent in 2019.
"In the non-OECD countries, both India's and China's growth forecasts remain at 7.5% and 6.5% for 2018, respectively, and at 7.2% and 6.1%, respectively, for 2019. Growth in Brazil remains unchanged at 1.1% for 2018 and 1.8% for 2019," the report said.
Russia's GDP growth forecast remains the same with 1.6 percent for 2018 and 1.7 percent for 2019.
