Protesters Torch Offices Of Government, Ruling Party In Sudan - Reports

Hundreds of angry demonstrators took to the streets on Thursday in at least two cities in Sudan to protest the dire economic situation, media reported.
A government building was torched in the eastern city of Gadarif, while in Dongola, the capital of the Northern region, the office of the ruling National Congress party was set alight, witnesses told the Anadolu news agency.
The news outlet said that the protests were started by students rallying over poor public services. In Dongola, they were joined by people protesting an acute bread shortage.
